Karina Esperanza Yánez is a cultural worker whose goal is to provide students with the tools to use the arts as a vehicle for meaningful civic and community engagement. She has worked with schools, cultural institutions, and community organizations to bring that vision to life, offering curriculum design, community partnerships, and program evaluation consulting along the way.

She holds two Graduate degrees: one from the Rhode Island School of Design in Community Arts Education and one from Claremont Graduate University in Arts Administration. She earned her BFA in Fine Art with a minor in Cultural Studies from the California Institute of the Arts.
